Abstract:
The banking sector comprises of 49 institutions, 42 of which are commercial banks, 3 mortgage finance companies, one non-bank financial institutions and one building society as at MARCH 2008, according to CBK annual reports. Despite the long existence of commercial banks in Kenya, local, international and multinational, they have shied away from lending to small-scale businesses.

Abstract:
The heat generation of micropolar fluid flow on porous plat with temperature dependent viscosity and thermal conductivity is investigated. The micropolar model due to Eringen is used to describe the working fluid. The partial differential equations governing the motion, angular momentum and energy are reduced to ordinary differential equations using similarity transformations and then solved numerically using Runge- Kutta shooting technique.
