Abstract:
The purpose of this research was to analyze the relationship between transformational leadership and employee job performance in the public sector of Amhara National Regional State Bureaus. Correlational and descriptive survey design were applied. Quantitative data was collected from 373 sample respondents through the application of stratified and simple random sampling techniques but out of these, five questionnaires were not valid and the analysis was made for 368 respondents. Reliability and validity of the measurements were checked through the use of factor analysis and pilot test.

In world, annually 2 - millions and in every 15 seconds one person in work related accidents and illness are killed. Mining is the 2nd largest industry in terms of mortality in the world. The worst consequence of their risks is early death of work force. Though mining industry in the world, every year produces billions tons of coal and raw materials worth billions of dollars, and provides job for millions of people around the world, but every year 1000's of people in the world in mining industry are killed & injured. Although mine accidents in certain part of mining industries in the world are declining, but risks & accidents in the mining industries are still important; as it involves not only direct & indirect (4 times direct) cost but also lowers morale of the employees which is difficult to quantify, but can be seen on poor performance and reduced productivity and increased cost of production. According to hazardous nature of work in the mines, it is clear that the injuries of work related accidents in the mines are high; but a lot of work related accidents can be avoided in future. Similarly impact of other operational, technological, financial, socio- political, environmental, etc. risks have adverse effect on performance and sustainability of the organisation which if not managed/mitigated timely will surely lead to collapse of the organisation.

Yoga is a variable tool to increase physical activity and decrease non- communicable diseases. A positive attitude and a peaceful mind are conducive to healing and happiness, whatever may be the nature of disease or illness. The evidence generated has made modern medicine accept love, peace, joy, positive thinking, relaxation, hope, etc., as therapeutic tools. This is how yoga becomes a potent instrument for influencing the mind positively. Based on the above traditional as well as scientific thinking, some of the non-communicable diseases are mentioned in this article, for which yoga may be used with a favorable effect in modern medicine. The need for the current time is to have an integrated approach toward complete therapy and to utilize yoga therapy in harmonization, cooperation, and collaboration with other systems of medicine such as modern medicine, Ayurveda, and naturopathy. The main aims of the therapeutic implications of yoga should be to increase parasympathetic and decrease sympathetic activities.
