THE POST RETIREMENT ACTIVITIES OF 'YOUNG OLD': A COMPARITIVE ANALYSIS OF ELDERLY MEN AND WOMEN
Treesa Sindhu P.Thomas, Rose Mary Francis
Abstract:
Major areas in which the elderly have face problems are income maintenance, medical and health, adjustments to changing rules and status; and loneliness and emptiness. And the retirement from active employment which is an important land mark in life can be considered as a status change. But, it does not cut a person off from others; rather it places them back in the common stream of 'unemployed' though on a new basis. It is one of the life's major traumas for some individuals, and for others it is a smooth transition into a different way of life, depending on a person's health, financial security and above all his attitude towards new found leisure. For those who have not planned their future, sticking onto their previous standard of life could be quite impossible. If they are not clear about how to spend time effectively their physical as well as mental health will be affected adversely. It was reviewed that women as a whole, adjust more easily to retirement than men. The role change is not as radical for them because they have always played the domestic role. Men on the other hand have less readily available means of deriving satisfaction to replace that which their work provided. Hence a study was undertaken to gather information on the activities of retired people to have a clear picture of their time spending patterns and whether it is effective or not.

This is because e-banking reveals a more general interest in the role of the Internet as a vehicle for commercial activities. However, interest in e-banking may be particularly keen because a strong case can be made, that banking along with other financial services, offers a particularly fertile environment for the development of e-commerce. Banking includes the collection, storage, transfer, and processing of information assets and the Internet is an extremely powerful and efficient tool for control these information processes. Impact Assessment of Kadana Dam Project with Reference to Socio Economic Development of Tribes
HARSH KUMAR
Abstract:
Shortage of water is for the most part brought about by inappropriate administration of water assets which likewise restrains the development of the country. One of the numerous approaches to tackle the issue of lack of water is by developing the trench or dam arrange. The tremendous errand of connecting the dam requires multidisciplinary examinations. Hydrological and horticultural parameters demonstrate a prevailing job in the determination of reasonable way for the development of the channel. The Saurashtra Narmada Avtaran Irrigation Yojana is modified to determine the water emergency of the rare areas of Saurashtra. The Yojana is partitioned into 4 connections. This paper manages the investigation of the arrangement of these 4 connections of the "SAUNI YOJANA" with the assistance of ArcGIS and QGIS software. Linking water surplus Himalayan Rivers with water rare pieces of western and peninsular India has been accomplished for as far back as 150 years. Entomb bowl move implies connecting at least two water bodies, one with surplus water and another with rare water, by making a system of physically made trenches. The present investigation manages the surplus water redirection by means of channel from Kadana Dam to Watrak Dam, Gujarat. The investigation territory incorporates two regions to be specific Panchmahal and Sabarkantha of upper east Gujarat. For interlinking, thought of different ground highlights, contours and slant of the investigation region is finished utilizing GIS and Remote Sensing. The information got from topical maps are coordinated that aides in arranging of arrangement of channel. Choice of arrangement for a channel is basic regarding cost and execution time. A few arrangements might be conceivable between the source and goal of a channel, yet direction region and arrangement conceivable with least cutting and filling works dependent on topography is concluded. Further development of structural building structures are distinguished to plan the new interlink waterway from Kadana Dam to Watrak Dam.

PERCEPTION OF WOMEN TOWARDS SELF HELP GROUPS AS A TOOL FOR WOMEN EMPOWERMENT
Dr. D. Rabindranath Solomon
Abstract:
In the globalization era with the increasing global disparity between the rich and the poor, Self Help Groups have shown the way forward to reduce this disparity and they provide the means to bridge the gap between the haves and the have-nots. They contribute to correct the mismatch of income across social groups as they are increasingly becoming a new poverty-fighting strategy. The world over the growing identity of self help groups as an instrument of poverty alleviation in the society at large is being established by each passing day. The role of SHG in poverty eradication as well as empowerment of the poor and weaker sections has gained excellent recognition in many countries including a few developed nations too. This apart, certain self help groups are exclusively being established and managed by women leading to women empowerment. Women who had limited means to empower themselves, started finding themselves in a position to command and demand respect in the business world due to the self help groups into which they have formed themselves. They are now in a situation where they are no longer at the receiving end in business transactions. This paper attempts to draw out the perceptions of women on whether self help groups are a tool for their empowerment or do they consider self help groups managed by women turning out to be pawns in the hands of men who run the show from behind.

Efficiency of Managing Working Capital in Indigo Airlines: An Empirical Assessment
Mr Rupesh Yadav, Dr Debasish Sur
Abstract:
Managing working capital is one of the major decision areas of corporate financial management. In fact, without the efficient management of working capital, it is next to impossible for a company even belonging to the airlines sector to generate its surplus. So, if the company shows inefficiency in managing its working capital, it cannot survive in the long run. Thus, in today’s challenging and competitive business environment, efficient management of working capital is recognized as an integral component of overall corporate strategy to create shareholders’ value. Though a very few studies on the different financial aspects of Indigo, the market leader of the Airlines sector, were carried out in the last few years, no noticeable research attempt was made to address the issue associated with the analysis of the working capital management efficiency of Indigo. In this backdrop, an effort was made in the present paper to make an empirical assessment of the efficiency of working capital management of Indigo during the period 2007-08 to 2018-19. While tackling the issue, relevant statistical measures were applied at appropriate places.

Employment has always been a central issue in development. In recent years we saw a global financial crisis that affected many countries, causing a massive economic recession and a major loss of jobs. Despite some initial employment gains in the post-crisis years, we have seen a rise in unemployment over the past year. The obstacles that developing countries face in creating employment opportunities is conveyed in part to large population growth, lack of capital accumulation and poor educational services. Population growth rates in developing countries continue to increase, which has led to a swell in the proportion of youth within the population. Many developing countries have a large population of youth unable to find jobs after earning a degree. In this context entrepreneurship brings a ray of hope for dealing with employment crisis. the present paper tries to identify the role of entrepreneurship in job creation and unemployment reduction also the author tries to reflect the opportunities and barriers of entrepreneurship in Indian contest.

Abstract:
High population growth and proceeded with economic development have caused genuine
environmental harm in the Asia Pacific region. Nonetheless, the ongoing experience is that
the movement of environmental corruption is quicker in creating nations than in created
nations. To this end, the study tries to evaluate the effect of population pressure on India's
environment, with specific reference to the debasement of common gifts like land and water
assets and the resultant environmental contamination in the six regions of India. The quick
economic growth and extension of framework development in late decades have not come
without genuine environmental results especially in the southern, northern, and western
regions. In any case, in the eastern, north-eastern, and focal regions of the nation,
environmental harm has been predominantly because of quick population growth.

Stress, Conservatism and Dependence Proneness
amongst Adolescents of Flood Prone Area
Akanksha Rani
Abstract:
The present study was conducted with a view to examine the effect of conservatism and
dependence proneness on the level of stress. For the purpose incidental cum Purposive
Sampling Technique was employed on 128 students belonging in age group of 10-18
adolescents of Chapra (Bihar). It was hypothesized that (i) Conservatism would have
significant influence on stress. (ii) Dependence proneness would have significant influence
on stress. (iii) There would be a significant positive correlation between conservatism and
dependence proneness. For the purpose Stress Scale by Kumari Sinha and Singh(1996) &CScale by Mohsin (1980) and Dependence Proneness Scale by Sinha (1968) were used to
measure the levelof stress, conservatism and dependence proneness of the respondents.
Besides these, a PDS was used to get other necessary information about the respondents. The
analysis of the data was made using t-test and Pearsonian „r?. The result thus obtained
supported all the hypotheses. It was concluded that : (i) liberal and low dependence prone
people are less likely to be the victim of stress. (ii) conservatism and dependence proneness
are significantly and positively correlated.

Women and Work: Some Empirical Findings from India
Rabiya Yaseen Bazaz
Abstract:
Sociological studies of women's employment and work largely uncover the
mechanisms of gender inequality and the interactions of the socio-economic and politicocultural structures surrounding work. The feminists reject the biological division of labour
theory and argue that gender roles are culturally determined and inequality between the sexes
results from socially constructed power relationships. However, within academic discourses,
the definitions of work, labour force, and employment are still gendered and few have
questioned their logic or rationalization. Based on the empirical findings and sociological
insights, this paper attempts to revisit some of these definitions and explores three important
trends in work profile of women in India: feminization of unpaid work, unemployment and
labour.

Seismic Response of Box Girder Bridge
Mohd Waseem, Mohammad Saleem
Abstract:
The Box Girder Bridge is now a widely used bridge structure worldwide. Currently, the Box
Girder Bridge is generally used for the long span for ignoring the heavyweight as related to
the other bridge girder system. For analysis of the dynamic response of the Box Girder
Bridge, CSi Bridge v 21.1.0 is used. The primary objective of this analysis is to evaluate and
examine multi-span seismic output with up to five 100 m long Box Girder Bridge spans. Box
Girder Bridge’s seismic performance depends on peak ground motion and acceleration of
ground motion. It is achieved by the approach of non-linear time history analysis. For
dynamic characteristics and showing the maximum response of the box girder deck, the
three-dimensional model and data of the Bhuj earthquake are used in this analysis. Response
analyses are indicated in terms of displacement, moments, joint velocity and joint
acceleration.

Nutrition and Children's Neurocognitive Development: A Critical Study
Dr. Arvind Kumar
Abstract:
Cognition represents a complex set of higher mental functions subserved by the brain, and
includes attention, memory, thinking, learning, and perception. Cognitive development in
pre-schoolers is predictive of later school achievement. Schooling builds human capital -
skills, abilities, and resources—which ultimately shapes health and well-being. Indeed, more
education has been linked to better jobs, higher income, higher socio-economic status, better
health care access and housing, better lifestyle, nutrition, and physical activity, which are all
well-known health determinants. Education increases an individual's sense of personal
control and self-esteem; these factors have also been shown to influence better health
behaviour. Academic achievement is important for future personal health, and is therefore a
significant concern for public health.

Abstract:
Huckleberry Finn is a work of outstanding literary qualities and Mark Twain owes his
permanence and universal popularity to this masterpiece. It is an adventure story, like most
other novels of Twain, realistically and satirically portraying frontier days in the Mississippi
Valley, its feuds and supersitions and folkways, and displaying Twain's typical "Western"
humour of exaggeration and roguery, particularly in the sequences devoted to the Duke and
