Abstract:
This paper examines the role of vernacular language and oral culture in determining social communication structures in Medieval North Bengal during the 1300s to 1700 CE. The medieval history of India has tended to prioritize political tales and elite literary legacies, which have been written predominantly in Sanskrit and Persian, and tends to ignore the daily experiences and communication of common people.

Abstract:
भारत के आधुनिक इतिहास में वामपंथी उग्रवाद (LWE) या नक्सलवाद एक ऐसा नासूर रहा है, जिसने न केवल देश की आंतरिक सुरक्षा को गंभीर रूप से खतरे में डाला, बल्कि लोकतांत्रिक ताने-बाने और विकास की अवधारणा को भी पंगु बनाए रखा। वर्ष 1967 में पश्चिम बंगाल के एक छोटे से गांव 'नक्सलबाड़ी' से भूमि सुधारों और शोषित किसानों के हक के नाम पर भड़का यह असंतोष, समय के साथ अपनी वैचारिक दिशा खोकर एक क्रूर सशस्त्र उग्रवाद में तब्दील हो गया। 'सत्ता बंदूक की नली से निकलती है'
